We are looking for a detail-oriented and adaptable Title Examiner to join our rapidly growing business! This position includes the examination of property records, ownership, and encumbrances in order to determine the risks associated with insuring a specific property. Works independently and with a team to utilize their experience to examine title to real property, mainly residential properties with some commercial examinations.

 

You would be idea for this role is you have experience in the role of examination of property records in order to proficiently produce a Title Commitment/Title Report.  You must also be able to determine the risks associated with insuring both a lot and block or metes and bounds legal description. We would prefer you to have experience in the preparation of a Title Policy, both Owners and Lenders. 

 

Examination experience preferably in the State of Arizona however, out of state experience will be considered.

 

A glimpse into the day-to-day...

  • Performs title examination and examines the chain of title for a wide range of title orders, primarily residential and commercial.
  • Analyzes records, such as leases, subleases, liens, judgments, easements, vital statistics, and plot and map books. Determines ownership and legal restrictions to verify legal description of property and completeness of records that may cross county lines.
  • Resolves most issues such as missing information, incomplete, inaccurate or contradictory information contained in the title documentation.
  • Prepares initial title commitment documentation based on the application of procedural guidelines
  • Prepares and reviews reports for accuracy.
  • Timely preparation and disbursement of the final title policy within the Company’s established delivery time frames.
  • Other duties as expected and assigned by their direct supervisor.

  • Familiarity with Property Law
  • Knowledge of terminology and other technical aspects relating to property titles
  • Ability to work independently and remain accurate under time constraints
  • Excellent computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment required (Word, Outlook, and Internet)
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, be reliable, flexible and work well in a team environment
  • Effective, positive interpersonal skills
  • 3+ years as a Junior Examiner required
