HomeSmart International is looking for an Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong multi-tasking skills, ability to prioritize and work independently, provide excellent internal and external customer service, and be able to blend in well with the existing accounting team and company culture.

What you'll do...

This position ensures the maximum return on financial assets by establishing financial policies, procedures, controls, and reporting systems as well as any financial analysis, payroll, forecasting, and oversight of accounts payable and receivable.

  • Assists the Controller in guiding financial decisions by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing policies and procedures.
  • Protects assets by establishing monitoring and enforcing internal controls.
  • Assists in the Controller by providing information for external auditors.
  • Achieves budget objectives by scheduling expenditures and analyzing variances.
  • Provides status of financial condition by collecting, interpreting and reporting financial data.
  • Prepares reports for the by collecting, analyzing and summarizing information and trends.
  • Provides updates to senior leadership on the financials and other business aspects when the Controller is unavailable.
  • Prepares and executes employee payroll.
  • Completes the month end close and review of reconciliations of general ledger accounts for all companies.
  • Provides leadership and support to the accounts receivable and accounts payable departments.
  • Presents and processes benefits for all eligible employees.
  • 1099 Reporting.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Who you are...

Business/Accounting degree

3-5 years accounting experience

Supervisory or management experience a plus

Proficient with account analysis and reconciliation

Excellent written and oral communication skills

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Detail oriented, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work independently

Cross functional collaboration skills

Knowledge of Quickbooks


Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
